Simple Brownie One Pan Baked Oats – Naturally Sweetened

Baked oats are easily one of my favorite breakfasts – they take all of the nutritious elements and ease of oats and essentially turn it into a cake. And these will make your house smell like you just baked a batch of brownies. Your family/roommates are going to love you for this one.

As a Registered Dietitian, it’s important to me that my recipes not only taste great but also provide good nutrition. Oats are always a go-to for me because they are packed with fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and help promote satiety – but they’re also a great canvas for sweet flavors. I paired them with mashed banana for sweetness, cocoa powder for lots of rich chocolatey flavor, tahini for creaminess and depth, and a pinch of salt to really bring out the flavors.

Easy Brownie One Pan Baked Oats – Naturally Sweetened

Description

My most popular recipe – you’re going to love making these cozy, subtly sweet oats for meal prep or to share with family and friends!

Ingredients

– 1 cup rolled oats

– 1/4 cup tahini (I used SoCo Tahini)

– 2-3 tbsp cocoa powder

– 1/4 tsp baking soda

– pinch of salt

– 1 banana, mashed

– 1 cup almond milk

– chocolate chips to taste (you can use Lily’s brand if you’d like a sugar-free option!)

– almond butter for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F; Spray pan, add banana and mash; add all other ingredients to pan and mix to combine. Bake for 30 minutes or until desired doneness. Allow to cool for a few minutes; scoop out in squares and add a spoonful of almond butter if desired.

Notes

You can add a chocolate protein powder to this recipe if you would like to increase the protein content; it will likely change the flavor a bit but should still be delicious. These oats would also be great served with berries or any other toppings you like!
